TidyUp TODOList offers a convenient shortcut to the main menu. It makes it easy to quickly navigate through your various to do lists both within your client area, and increasingly outside your company's client zone. You can also use the shortcut button to the main menu to quickly type your next task, instead of hovering your cursor over each item. The Tasklist can also be customized by using various shortcut buttons along it's left edge. And it can be easily faded out if it is no longer needed.
There are many advanced features available in the TidyUp TODOList interface. One of these features is the Categorization Center. This allows the user to identify his own set standard categories (such Date, Number, Items, Modified Time. Created Time. Target Date) and group items based upon them. This makes it a quick and convenient method to organize frequently used items in to their respective categories and subcategories, allowing more time to handle other tasks, such as completing tasks, editing the list of tasks, etc. The Categorization Center includes a handy tool that allows you to drag and drop subcategories in existing ones. This will allow you to organize all your items into a meaningful grouping. You can also create and drag different headings in order to separate sections of your checklist if you use the Categorization Center with the choldredraw utility.
The Microsoft Office plug-in choldredraw allows you draw invisible frames, buttons, text boxes, and other controls in the Tidy Up TODOList dialog. While the dialog box itself may not seem very useful, the built-in cdialog functions truly are useful, as it encapsulates the entire process of creating a custom tab within your computer, and it can be very helpful for debugging problems. It even includes a Windows dialog that can be used to help you troubleshoot problems in your registry.
While this Tidy Up TODOList dialog encapsulates a very simple yet effective application, it does have some shortcomings. It is not possible for the CDialog utility to undo any changes. Also, it only supports simple text commands. You will be better served if you have more functions in mind or need to create a menu with headings. We also found that the application doesn't provide automatic redrawing support and doesn’t include a backup utility.
